The invisibility of Pelvic Floor Dysfunctions in vulnerable populations
The invisibility of Pelvic Floor Dysfunctions in vulnerable populations goes beyond the physical. What is not seen often goes untreated. Silenced by taboos, lack of access and ignorance, these dysfunctions have a profound impact on lives. They affect not only the body, but also dignity, autonomy and self-esteem. They are invisible marks that shape behaviors, relationships and emotions. We need to shed light on what is hidden, give a voice to those who suffer in silence. Because caring for the pelvic floor also means ensuring presence, listening and belonging.
